MARCO GIANCATERINI

Passionate about animation films from a young age, Marco Giancaterini first studied translation before joining Anima, the Brussels International Animation Film Festival. A member of Anima’s selection committee since 2021, Marco represents the festival as a programmer at other international festivals, seeking out new films and meeting talents. He is also heavily involved in the programming of Anima’s Queer Stories, an event celebrating the LGBTQia+ community that combines animation films and live performances. In 2024, he also had the honour of hosting the Shorts and Breakfast sessions at the Annecy Festival.
