SPECIAL SESSION ANIMATION FROM GAZA

Haneen Koraz is a Palestinian artist and educator from Gaza who uses animation as a therapeutic and creative expression tool, especially focused on children and communities affected by the conflict.

Throughout the war in Gaza she has continued to do workshops with children and mothers making films about their experiences. Even though they are constantly displaced, she continues her work with dedication to help her community. Using techniques such as stop motion, children create short animated films that allow them to process their emotions and share personal stories that might otherwise remain silent.

Some of those short films are screened in this special session:

– Let the kids solve it
– We are not different
– A day in the tent
– Grandmother wore us out
